Club results, March 27

There were four of us on Sunday, including a surprise guest, Mike Willis from Texas. Mike, a longtime tournament player, is working in Ashland for the next few months, so he could be a regular for a while. Victoria and I were gracious hosts: We "let" him win three out of four games.

Club on March 27, and publicity

I again am a maybe for club on Sunday. I wish I could commit, but I've got too many things going on right now. I hope others can make it.

Cheryl's post urging us to publicize club got me moving. I ran into a former colleague who plays three-minute games online, and I gave her a copy of the flyer. I also gave one to a co-worker whose 12-year-old daughter is getting into the game (I had earlier given them the cheat sheet).

Also, I put a blurb for our club on the Herald-Leader's online events listing. There's a delay in posting, so once it shows up, I'll repost it here in case anyone wants to make a correction or recommend a wording change.

Club on Sunday, 3/13, part II

Victoria, Betty and I were at club; unfortunately I did not bring the results to work with me, will post next time I get near some Internet (which I will have at home - the new place- after this Thursday).

I will be out of town also this coming weekend.

I'm guessing the turnout at club was low on Sunday? Did anyone play? If so, what were the results and highlights?

3/6 Club Session

Starting this weekend, I'll be travelling most of March, and my next time at club probably won't be until early April. However, the venue (Perkins) is still open to any and all that want to attend, so don't let my absence dissuade you. :)

Like always, feel free to comment here on whether you'll be attending this weekend's session starting at 3pm. I'll try to post an attendance survey at the appropriate times for the next few weeks' sessions also, subject to when/if I can get to the internet.
