Belated congrats to Matthew Ridout, who despite not having played in a tournament in almost a year, shook off the rust and went to Asheville, in a strong Division 1. He went 6-8, including two close losses, dropped a few rating points, and had the singular experience of getting bagged by David Gibson.

Matthew's rating is now 1696, so now he has extra motivation: getting over 1700 again, so look out, clubbers!

Hello from Asheville!
After sporadic-at-best club attendance and no tournament play for about a year, am throwing myself back into the deep end with the tournament here.
