This is the group blog for the CENTRAL KENTUCKY SCRABBLE PLAYERS GROUP. We invite you to come to any of our club sessions to play Scrabble®, the world's favorite word game, now 80 years old. Thank you, Alfred Butts!

Ok, so who will be at club this Sunday, at our new location at Bob Evans on Richmond Road? I will, but with travel over the ensuing weeks (Atlanta tourney, then Disney World), won't be back again until 6/16.
What do you think about scrabble sites like http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com? I like to use them for my game. What rules do you have against them?
No dictionaries can be used during games; if it's the official Word List ed. 4 it's ok to use for challenges in club meetings, I think. That said, we usually don't have internet access at club meetings.
We use the NASPA rules, which can be downloaded here:

As Cheryl said, no dictionaries, aids, etc are allowed during games, but we do allow new players to use a printed sheet of all the short words (2-3 letters long) for their first few meetings. That list can be downloaded here:
Don't let lack of familiarity with words discourage you from joining us. Our members have have varying levels of word knowledge, but we all love to play the game, so come out and join us!
